Our Mission


AIDS and tribal violence are leaving millions of African children without parents or other family members able to take care of them. These children live in the streets, are clothed in rags, eat whatever they can find and sleep in any shelter available. Our Mission is to empower as many orphans as possible to become strong, educated, spiritually sound individuals who will thrive in their own culture. Learn more.

Hearth to Hearth Ministries operates three orphanages in Kenya and Uganda serving over 150 children. They are provided with housing, meals, clothing, and education. Learn more about our orphanages.

Donate to Special Projects - Please help us raise money to provide repairs to classrooms at Hope Center, textbooks at our schools, mattresses, blankets, shoes and much more. Our biggest project is a new well at Hope Center. Check out the whole project list and see where you can help.


Our Executive Director, Pastor Devon Herrell, visited all of our projects in Kenya and Uganda. She led a mission team of 4 staff members who visited all of our orphanages and completed our Kenya NGO registration.


The April, 2013 issue of our Newsletter: HODI-KARIBU has been published here on the web site. It will be sent to our readers around April 15. This issue describes ways we are reaching out to new sponsors and donors, creating partnerships and using internet sites to increase the number of people who can help us fulfill our mission.

Help us achieve "Permanent Status" on Global Giving by making a donation on the Global Giving web site in April. If we get at least 40 donations and a total of $5,000 in total donations during the month, we will become a permanent partner.

Get Involved

There are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of these children.

Sponsor a child for only $30/month. You can make sure this child has a place to live, food, nurturing environment, and an education. What is involved in sponsoring a child?

Sponsor a student in vocational school or college.

Donate toward a project. Review the list of projects that will benefit these children, select the project you would like to support, and make a donation. You can follow the progress of these projects on our web site.

Volunteer for one of the positions in the ministry. If you have skills in accounting, finance, fundraising, marketing, publications, web sites, or social media please consider joining our team. Contact PR@hearthtohearth.org if you are interested.
